Jannat The Kay Pattay novel Review and Summary
The story of Jannat k Pattay revolves around an LLB. (Hons) student, named Haya Suleman. She comes from an ethnically traditional Pakistani family that has inherited morals and values. She is awarded a scholarship that allows her to attend an institution in Turkey and her life takes a dramatic change. There's a touch of religion that is incorporated into the plot of the novel.
Nimra Ahmed will take you on a journey from the streets Istanbul up to the Bosporus sea as well as from the caves in Cappadocia and the prison cells of Indian prisons. There are moments when the narrative is so compelling that the reader will not be in a position to put it down. There are also instances where the story feels excessively long and drags. Even if you only skip a few pages in the middle it's not being missed. A little bit of editing could have enhanced the already excellent novel.
The most impressive feature of the novel is the conclusion. The guesses of readers are proved to be wrong since it wraps up the mystery until the very last page. There's a shocking plot twist that will surely surprise you.
If you're an old-fashioned Urdu literature lover, then this novel may not be the right choice for you. If you're looking for something romantic and with a hint of religion like a pee-e- Kamil novel the JKP is the book to take a look at.
